WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Holy Trinity-West Orange Food Pantry needs the help of the West Orange community. Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and the pantry is about 50 turkeys short of its goal to provide regular and Thanksgiving meals to its 500-plus monthly members.
The Holy Trinity-West Orange Food Pantry provides food to approximately 500 people per month in an atmosphere of support and acceptance. About half of its members are children under the age of 18, and the pantry can provide assistance to many senior citizens and disabled individuals, as well.
Turkeys must be frozen. Contact Food Pantry administrator Cynthia Cumming at firstname.lastname@example.org or (201) 341-9217 if you can help. Any and all other donated food, including stuffing and gravy, will be gladly welcomed.
The Food Pantry is located in Guild Hall at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 315 Main St., in West Orange, with entrance through the red door on the Franklin Avenue side. The pantry will be open in November on Monday, Nov. 17 and Nov. 24 from 6 to 8 pm; on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 from 9:30 am to 1 pm; and on Friday, Nov. 21, from 9:30 am to 1 pm.
Last year's turkey drive was a huge success, thanks to the efforts of the West Orange community. To read more about it, go to: http://thealternativepress.com/articles/west-orange-community-comes-through-in-big-way.
