LONG BRANCH, NJ — RWJBarnabas Health leaders Stephen Zieniewicz, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and Bill Arnold, president and CEO of Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch were joined by 200 RWJBarnabas Health employees as they ran in the New Jersey Half Marathon on at the Jersey Shore.

As the most comprehensive integrated health care system in the state, RWJBarnabas Health is committed to supporting and promoting healthy communities throughout the state. Zieniewicz is so passionate about the importance of healthy living and keeping an active lifestyle, he started a running and walking club that he leads at Saint Barnabas.

Despite the wind and rain, Zieniewicz and his colleagues participated in the 22nd annual Novo Nordisk New Jersey Marathon together. It began at the Monmouth Park Racetrack and ended at the Ocean Promenade in Long Branch.

RWJBarnabas staff members also enjoyed an RWJBarnabas Health Family Day at the Ocean Promenade to complement the marathon and half marathon. The event, which was a unique opportunity for RWJBarnabas to reinforce its system wide mission, “Let’s Be Healthy Together,” featured an assortment of kids’ races and a 5K among other interactive activities.
