MILLBURN, NJ — Isaiah Beals of West Orange is among the nearly 20 Essex County singer/dancers between the ages of 15 and 22 recently selected to join the award-winning Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir for the 2016-2017 season. 

“This talented touring troupe allows Paper Mill Playhouse to bring art to the people, while its participants receive professional training by industry professionals,” said Mark Hoebee, Paper Mill Playhouse producing artistic director. “The award-winning Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform at impressive venues and share their talents with thousands of New Jersey residents.”

Students selected to be part of this group will have the opportunity to fine-tune their craft with free instruction. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir runs until June and rehearses on Sunday evenings at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Millburn.

The show choir is led by a professional staff of artists including: Shayne Austin Miller (Director), Matt Lowy (Music Director), Charles Santoro (Associate Music Director), Anthony Fania (Dance Director) and Peter Newes (Company Manager).
