WEST ORANGE, NJ - Liberty Middle School students and staff showed their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Oct. 16 as they raised awareness by dressing in pink and forming a human ribbon.
In their battle against breast cancer, several students sold motivational pink bracelets during their advisory periods. Others showed their support by wearing the bracelets, with the words “Hope,” “Strength,” “Courage” and “Faith” on them.
Staff members joined the battle too—by making donations to participate in Liberty Pink and Denim Day. To date the students have collected $152, and plan on gathering donations through the end of the month. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
