WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Recreation Department's annual Independence Day celebration begins Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the West Orange High School Baseball/Soccer Field with the fireworks display beginning at dusk.
Blankets are encouraged for seating. No chairs, food, gum, bottles or smoking will be permitted on the fields.
The "Fun Zone" starts at 4:30 p.m. at Lincoln Field with a rock wall, wave slide, bounce house, obstacle course, train rides and more. Wrist bands are $5 and activities will be open until 7:30 p.m.
The Rotary Snack Bar (located outside the south gym) opens at 6:30 p.m. and will sell hamburgers, hot dogs, pretzels, drinks and novelties until 8 p.m. All proceeds support the West Orange Rotary Scholarship Fund.
