WEST ORANGE, NJ - "America Runs on Dunkin," and, apparently, so does West Orange, as a new Dunkin Donuts readies to open its doors at 14 South Valley Road.

TAP into West Orange chatted with Adam Goldman, the new Dunkin Donuts owner, about his latest opening. Goldman already owns two Dunkin Donuts in Paterson and is preparing to open a third; he also owns the Dunkin Donuts at 581 Northfield Avenue. That store will be relocating to the site of the old Julio's Restaurant and becoming a drive-thru.

Goldman is a 20 year resident of West Orange and his wife Karen Kaufman grew up in town, attending Mountain High School.

"We continue to invest in West Orange as it is a great community, and a great place to do business as West Orange is very business friendly," said Goldman.

"Between the first store remodel after we bought the store 2 years ago, this store, and the drive-thru, we will invest over $4 million, and employ 20-plus employees, including first jobs for many high schoolers," he continued.

In fact, Goldman is a generous and supportive community member, donating coffee, donuts and more not only to the police and fire departments, but West Orange schools, sporting events, non-profits and more.

An official Grand Opening is in the works, and mailers with coupons will be going out in a few days.

"October 13 is Free Medium Coffee Day with a coupon from the mailer," said Goldman, "but folks can print out Tap into West Orange's article and get a free medium coffee on Opening Day."

Stop by on Oct. 2 to say hi and welcome Dunkin Donuts to the neighborhood, and enjoy a free coffee.

Groundhog Day. The day a tiny mammal’s shadow tells us when winter will come to an end. Me? I prefer my weather forecast in the form of a white raven (the telltale changing of seasons in Westeros).

For a few days, rumors spread that Game of Thrones will not return for its final season until April 2019, and while it was clarified that the April return date was likely a false rumor, HBO ...

Paterson Firefighter Opens Up About Struggles, Urges Others not to Suffer in Silence

February 8, 2018

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Not a week goes by when a tale of heroism and bravery on the part of firefighters is not told. For them, running into a burning building is as natural as running out of one is for the rest of us.

That became apparent again on Monday when members of the Paterson Fire Department responded to a fire at 268 Main Street, which led to the eventual total collapse of ...
