WEST ORANGE, NJ  - The New Jersey Arts Incubator (NJAI) has announced the lineup of performances and events at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC).  Events will begin this Friday, June 21, with the Summer Solstice Celebration, and culminate on September 28 with a fund raiser for the 2014 season.

Each event has a suggested donation of $5 for adults for free events, and donations are always greatly appreciated. The community can also contribute or become a member of NJAI by visiting the NJA website at  www.njai.org.  Here's the schedule of events for the summer, so get out your calendar to mark off the ones that of interest to you and your family - OSPAC is always a family friendly place.

NJAI Adult Community Theater presents "Into The Woods". 

Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The show premiered on Broadway in 1987, and featured Bernadette Peters as the Witch and Joanna Gleason (Tony award winner) as the Baker's Wife.  The show also won Tony awards for Best Score and Best Book.

The musical appeals to young and old with a plot that features characters from several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them and the consequences of their wishes and adventures. Most prominent are characters from "Little Red Riding Hood, "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Rapunzel", and "Cinderella."  An original story component featuring a baker and his wife thread the characters together.
