WEST ORANGE, NJ  - Yet another Nor'easter is expected to wallop the Essex County area, including West Orange, with a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain, and bring with it wind and flooding advisories. The storm is expected to begin later this afternoon and continue into the night.

The storm that hit the midwest will make its appearance here in New Jersey by 4 pm this afternoon, with periods of snow and sleet affecting commuter traffic.  A collision with a warm front in our area will turn the wintry mix into rain, heavy at times, and create potential areas of flooding.  High winds, up to 35 mph, are also expected. One to one and a half inches of rain may fall in a short amount of time.

Icy road conditions are also of concern. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch and a Wind Advisory for the Essex County area.

By tomorrow morning, there may be light precipitation, but the bulk of the storm is expected this evening.
