WEST ORANGE, NJ — Seven separate incidents of burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles in West Orange in the early hours of Sunday, Nov. 22 are under investigation.
According to the West Orange Police Department, during the early morning hours, seven burglary/thefts from motor vehicles occurred on Walker Road, Yale Terrace, Tremont Avenue and Rollinson Street. There was an additional commercial burglary/theft at Castillo Auto Repair at 36 South Valley Road around the same time.
A Walker Road resident also reported a theft of a package coinciding with this string of burglary/thefts. Shortly after these burglaries occurred, police said that the Livingston Police Department began pursuit of a white Chevy Lumina. The occupants eventually fled from the vehicle on foot. Livingston police along with the police departments from Chatham, Millburn and Florham Park located and subsequently arrested three suspects, who were taken into custody and transported to the Livingston Police Department, where they were processed and charged.
All three were charged with receiving stolen property out of West Orange and were identified as Antoine Lee, 27, of Newark; Eric Fonesca, 26, of Newark; and Shatuwan McCall, 20, of Newark.
