Re-Elect Certified Master Board of Education Member Sandra Mordecai

Dear Editor,

I’m writing in support of Sandra Mordecai for re-election to the West Orange Board of Education.

Since being on the West Orange Board of Education, Sandra has proven and clearly demonstrated her compassion for advocating on behalf of our children. With the challenges and complexities of overseeing our large and diverse student population, Sandra has been able to collaboratively work with her colleague’s and serve the West Orange community with integrity, dignity and professionalism. She has shown time and time again that she’s committed to balancing the need to provide our children with a well-rounded education while being fiscally responsible.

Sandra has and continues to show her dedication and passion for our community and volunteers her time for many town organizations. To name a few, the West Orange Human Relations Commission, West Orange Public Relations Commission, and the West Orange African Heritage Organization. Sandra has been a certified Board member since May of 2013 and since May of 2015, Sandra is the only member of the board who is certified as a Master Board Member.

I have known Sandra and her family for over twenty years. Both of her sons attended West Orange schools from kindergarten to the twelfth grade. If re-elected, Sandra will continue work for student achievement, accountability, transparency, and fiscal responsibly.

I will cast my vote for Sandra Mordecai on November 8th 2016.
