WEST ORANGE, NJ – Seventh-grade Roosevelt Middle School student musician Ayush Narain, a talented viola player, was recently accepted into the Region I Orchestra after performing at Passaic High School. He then auditioned for the Intermediate All-State Orchestra, coming in second place competing against some of the best players in the state.

Narain also performed with the Roosevelt Middle School the Music at the Music in the Parks Music Festival, held in Bethlehem, PA, as well as the Intermediate All-State Orchestra at Summit High School in May. He also performs with the New Jersey Youth Symphony, and made his first appearance with them at Carnegie Hall this past winter.

"This is the just the beginning of what Ayush Narain can achieve," said RMS Orchestra teacher Catherine Solino. "I've been one of his string teachers since he was in fourth grade at St. Cloud, during the summer enrichment programs and now I am currently working with at RMS. He has tremendous talent and I'm so proud of him.”
