The Rotary Club of West Orange to Host 12th Annual “Taste of the World” Event in March

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Rotary Club of West Orange is hosting its 12th Annual “Taste of the World,” on March 7, from 6-9 p.m. at Mayfair Farms in West Orange. Tickets are $50 per person and can be obtained HERE.

More than 40 local restaurants and liquor, beverage and dessert vendors will be participating in the event that will include door prizes, live entertainment, raffles and a silent auction.Those supporting the event include Regal Bank, Levine, Jacobs & Company, LLC, Christos K. Alevras, State Farm, PSE&G and many others.

“This is our 12th year and it is a hugely popular fundraiser that draws people and restaurants from all over Essex County,” said Dorie Cappiello, VMD Past President. “I am excited anytime we are able to raise enough money to fund all of our projects yearly. It is our biggest annual fundraiser.”

All of the net proceeds will be used to fund Rotary-supported charities and civic needs both locally and internationally including local college scholarships and community service organizations and International Rotary Sanctioned projects.

“We raise anywhere between $22,000 to over $30,000 at this event,” said Cappiello. “Most of it goes to high school senior college scholarships and multiple local community organizations like the West Orange Community House, Turtle Back Zoo, The Dictionary Project and many, many more. In addition, we donate to multiple International Service Projects like Polio Plus, Gift of Life, Rotaplast, Change A Life Uganda and many more.”
