WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Friends of Thomas Edison National Historical Park are hosting a fundraiser Reception and Theatre Party at Luna Stage before the last scheduled performance of The Perfect Ganesh, a play by Tony award winner Terrence McNally.  Proceeds will benefit the Friends of Thomas Edison National Historical Park. The event is being held on Feb. 22, with the brunch beginning at 1:00 p.m. and show beginning at 3:00 p.m. at 555 Valley Rd. in West Orange.

Ticket prices (advanced tickets, with sales ending on Feb. 13 can be purchased HERE, and are priced at $40 per person, $35 for FoTENHP members and admission at the door is $50) include a pre-show champagne brunch and seats for the play. Brunch food will be provided by local eateries including Starlite Italian Restaurant, The Bagel Box and Pink CupCakes, with fresh crepes prepared on-site.  Champagne, wine, coffee and soft drinks will also be on the bill of fare, sponsored by Advantage Pest Control. Live music will be provided by pianist Jim Keefe.

A description of the play from the Luna Stage website reads, “A quest for meaning in their lives leads two outwardly unremarkable middle-aged women on a rousing tour of India, each one having her own secret dreams of what the fabled land of intoxicating opposites will do for the suffering she hides within. Faced with the women's despair, who but the golden elephant god could intervene? Fluid in his power to assume any guise, at peace with all things, Ganesha is the spiritual center around which the play spins itself, drawing upon the tragic and the comic, the beautiful and the deplorable, until a breathtaking release arrives for both women at his hands.”
