WEST ORANGE, NJ - A janitor at Liberty Middle School discovered a threatening note in one of the school's restrooms at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The West Orange Police Department and the Essex County Bomb Ordinance K-9 Unit responded and began a search of the building.
A full sweep of the school's interior, along with an exterior check, was completed and nothing was found that could cause harm. The building was cleared by 8 p.m.
Police officers will be on campus in the morning. The incident is under investigation by the Liberty Middle School administration, the Superintendent's office, and the West Orange Police Department.
