WEST ORANGE, NJ - CC Minton, a West Orange author and award-winning healthy lifestyle advocate, will be sharing her book, “Daddy's Greek Potato Pie,” with attendees at the Verona Public Library on Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Guests will dine on a gluten-free snack and hear all about Minton’s visit to the 2015 White House Kids State Dinner.
According to Minton, “Daddy’s Greek Potato Pie” tells the story of school-aged friends who help a father create a healthy, delicious, and nutritious pie from scratch. Throughout the story, as the pie is made, they go on a journey of self-discovery about nutrition, health, and everything from fiber to fats.
“Children will enjoy the story because it includes some fun and silly moments, while learning about healthy eating and turning mishaps into interesting, and in this case, a delicious experiment,” said Minton. “It’s a great read for the picky eater and is based on the USDA’s choose my plate.”
Minton, an award-winning advocate and healthy lifestyle ambassador said that as a mom, she realizes the importance of planting the seed of healthy living.
She is the recipient of the 2014 President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership Award. She was also a guest author during National Nutrition Month at Whole Foods Market and recently attended the 2015 White House Kids State Dinner.
