WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) held its bi-monthly learning series Biz 2.0 earlier this month to provide information for business owners to help grow their leads using social media.

More than a dozen people attended the 90-minute presentation at SuzyQue’s BBQ & Bar in West Orange to hear from WOCC board members Arnie Amir, owner of GrowthPoint Business Consulting, and Adam Wolf, of CellCon Consulting. The two collaborated to share strategies for an effective business approach for generating qualified leads and customers as well as how to create more business using those leads.

"The presentation was valuable to anyone looking to generate quality leads for their business—and close them,” said Wolf. “It's all about sending the right message to the right people at the right time and using today's marketing platforms gives today's business people a way never before available to hyper-target your message to the right audience."

Wolf centered his topic on using the Facebook Advertising platform in order to find the ideal client.

The Biz 2.0 program series is free to WOCC members and open to the public for a small fee.

“The goal of Biz 2.0 is to present business-related topics that are valuable and beneficial to the people who attend,” Amir said. “The goal is to help promote their businesses, to take advantages of opportunities to network and develop relationships and benefit their businesses all around.”

The series is one of many benefits of being a WOCC member, according to executive director Jessica Marrone Parkes.

“Membership in our organization has many benefits, including free education about topics that concern our local businesses,” Parkes said. “I invite any new or existing business owners in the area reach out to us to learn more about how WOCC can support you.”
