WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange Fire Department will square off against the West Orange All-Stars, a team comprising West Orange hockey dads and coaches—for charity. The second annual West Orange Charity Hockey Challenge will take place at Codey Arena on Oct. 3, at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the three-period game are $10 per person at the door. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit special local charities. All proceeds from the Ad Journal and silent auction will benefit the Mountain Top League Youth Ice Hockey teams.

“Thanks to the generosity of many organizations and individuals, our first West Orange Charity Hockey Challenge enjoyed great success in raising funds for our youth hockey program,” read a donation letter from Mountain Top Trustees Sal Anderton, Alex DeRonde and Damien Locricchio. “We continue to be grateful to have such terrific community support for our ice hockey program and we are grateful to the West Orange Fire Department for their help and participation.”

The Mountain Top League Ice Hockey program provides West Orange youths with the opportunity to participate in an organized, close to home ice hockey program at an affordable cost. The activities and programs offer participants confidence and team building skills, as well as educational benefits and exposure to ice hockey.
