Offering 23 Advanced Placement Classes and 35 Honors Level Classes, 11 Instrumental and Vocal Performing Groups, 57 Sports Teams, 45 Co-curricular Clubs and 11 National Honor Societies.

West Orange High School is the recipient of a $2.2 million grant from the USDOE that is allowing the school to accelerate progress towards being a dynamic success for the students and faculty. The grant is assisting the school transition into one of Smaller Learning Communities, where all students can feel connected and achieve more.

West Orange High School was ranked by Newsweek Magazine as one of America’s Top Public High Schools in 2010 and 2011.

West Orange High School was named by the College Board as an Advanced Placement Achievement District 2011.

West Orange High School was named by the Washington Post as one of the best U.S. high schools in its efforts to challenge average students in 2012.
