WEST ORANGE, NJ - West Orange High School has received the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Sportsmanship Award for the 2013-2014 school year. The banner will be displayed in the Tarnoff gymnasium.

The school was nominated for the award by their peers in the Super Essex Conference (SEC) including fellow administrators and coaches that vote for a school displaying excellence in sportsmanship. Players, administrators, facilities, fans and coaches are considered in the recommendation.

WOHS Principal Hayden Moore addressed the crowd during the Spring Sports Pep Rally on March 31, where the Sportsmanship Banner was unveiled.

"I'm always excited to see our athletes and teams perform well, "Moore said, "but this is the award that means the most to me because it is about our character."
