West Orange High School to Host Residents for 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks Display

WEST ORANGE, NJ — This year’s West Orange 4th of July Celebration at West Orange High School will commence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

"Family Fun Meet" races and activities start at 6:30 p.m., beginning with toddler races and ending with adult races. Organizers suggest arriving early, especially those with kids.

Family activities include potato-sack races, a water balloon toss and a food-eating contest. Sponsored and provided by White Castle burgers, the food-eating contest will award the fastest eater with a gift card.

All of Monday evening’s activities are free and open to the public, with entertainment beginning at 7 p.m. and the fireworks setting off at dusk on the baseball field.

Entertainment this year will be provided by West Orange resident "Citrus" and former West Orange resident DJ Chuck.

Residents should note that lawn chairs will not be permitted on the baseball field, but will be allowed in the surrounding area.
