WEST ORANGE, NJ - On October 16, 2012, West Orange Police Officer Neumen K. Paye was honored by West Orange Township for service to the West Orange Community and the country while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Reserve.

Paye was given the award by Mayor Robert Parisi.  He has been a member of the WOPD since March, 2009 and had prior work experience with the disabled. He attended Essex County Vocational High School in Newark as well as Essex County College.

Paye joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 2011 and continues to serve as a Staff Sergeant. He served 7 months in Iraq in 2003, 1 year in Iraq in 2007 and 1 year in Afghanistan 2010, and earned a Global War on Terrorism Medal, a Navy Achievement Medal, Medals for his service in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a Certificate of Commendation.

He has a two year old daughter, Juliana.
