WEST ORANGE, NJ - They arrived in tuxes and gowns, suits and dresses, and as they stepped out of the car or limo, one more step was taken toward graduation by the Senior Class of West Orange High School on May 27

This year's West Orange High School Senior Prom was held at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany. 

The special night brought out the best in the Class of 2016 as they arrived looking red carpet-ready. Seniors were ready to party the night away.

But the event was a bittersweet moment for some parents, family and friends as they saw their children looking so grown up.

Here's a small slice of the action at the Birchwood as students enjoyed their special night as they march towards graduation, which will be held at Codey Arena on June 22,
