West Orange Resident to Compete in Miss Teen New York Pageant Nov. 16

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Danielle Wilson, a 16 year old junior at West Orange High School, has her sights set on The Miss Teen New York Pageant on Nov. 16. Following a rigorous interview and application process, Danielle was accepted as a participant and is seeking sponsorships to help in her effort to compete in the pageant.

Danielle's goal is to study psychology in college. She received an invitation to apply and decided it would be a good experience for her to "meet and interact with others in both a professional and social setting."

"I'm here to have fun and enjoy the experience," Danielle continued.

Danielle will be competing in "Miss Teen ivision," open to girls 7-19. The competition will consist of casual and formal wear modeling routines. 

"Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition," notes the press release from the pageant operators.

The winner of Miss Teen New York will travel to the National Competition in Orlando, Florida and compete for "over $30,000 in prizes and awards."

Businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in supporting Danielle with sponsorship will receive recognition by the pageant and help her with the required training, rehearsals and financial support.
