West Orange Residents Invited to Begin Kindergarten Registration Process


WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Registration Office for the West Orange Board of Education began accepting phone calls to schedule Kindergarten Registration appointments for the 2016-2017 school year on Jan. 15. West Orange residents are invited to call the Registration Office at 973-669-5400, ext. 20505 (additional ext. 20517, 20506, 20507 and 20508) to schedule an appointment date and time. 

Resident children born on or before October 1, 2011 are eligible to be registered (no exceptions). To register, the child must be five years old, on or before October 1, 2016, and also must be properly immunized. 

Kindergarten Registration Packets are available for pick up at the West Orange Board of Education building, located at 179 Eagle Rock Avenue.

Those interested may also complete registration forms on-line by clicking HERE and then clicking on the New Student Registration Form, which is located on the left bottom corner of the home page.

According to the West Orange Board of Education, “preparing the forms on-line will save you a significant amount of time during your registration appointment.”

Participants will find all the materials and information needed either in the packet or on-line, in order to begin registering their child.

The West Orange Board of Education encourages those filling out registration form to make sure to read and complete the forms carefully.

“By following the enclosed directions you will enable a smooth and efficient registration process,” said the West Orange Board of Education via a press release. “Once you have completed all the forms (paper or on-line) and have required the additional documents ready, please call the Registration Office at extension 20505 to schedule an appointment. Registration is complete upon authorization of the Registration Staff.”
