WEST ORANGE, NJ - Dylan Drummond, a 16 year-old guitarist from West Orange, performed recently along with eight other teen musicians from School of Rock Montclair at venues in New Jersey, Manhattan, and Washington, DC in support of Exoneration Initiative, a non-profit organization that provides free legal assistance to wrongfully convicted persons.
Stops along the students’ four-day “Rockapocalypse Tour” included shows at The Lincoln Memorial; The Doo-Wop Museum and Fox Park in Wildwood, NJ; and Webster Hall in Manhattan.
“We piled Dylan and some of our other top students onto a bus and gave them a real taste of the rock n’ roll touring life,” says Matt Sandoski, owner of School of Rock Montclair. “Their musical talents not only helped to support a worthy cause, they also had a fun and exciting experience that they’ll never forget.”
Dylan and his School of Rock bandmates toured along with students from other School of Rock franchises from across the United States - including schools from Cleveland; Philadelphia; Princeton; Doylestown, PA; North Palm Beach, FL; South Palm Beach, FL; Ashburn, VA; Vienna, VA; and Silver Spring, MD.
