WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange High School boys soccer team will be honored at the annual West Orange Old-Fashioned Christmas Tree Lighting, where they will officially light the Township Christmas tree. 

The team was recognized at the Township Council meeting on Dec. 3 and Coach Doug Nevins introduced the team: "We started off the season with four of our starters out with injuries... one of our teammates diagnosed with cancer... it put everything into perspective for us."

Mayor Robert Parisi will recognize the team at the Tree Lighting, which begins at 4:30 p.m. in front of Town Hall at 66 Main St. on Friday, Dec. 6.  (Rain date: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. For weather updates, call 973-243-1115).
