Zufall Health Opens in West Orange to Provide Affordable Medical Care

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Zufall Health, a federally funded community health center, has opened its newest office at 95 Northfield Avenue in West Orange to provide quality, affordable medical care for family members of all ages.  The Northfield Avenue location is the first Essex County site for the nonprofit health center which has been operating in North Jersey for nearly 25 years.

Zufall West Orange provides primary care and support services for insured and uninsured. They accept most insurances and can be utilized as an insured individual's primary care physician. The health center offers a broad range of on-site services, including treatment of illness and injury, physical exams, prevention and management of chronic illness, referrals to specialists, and guidance on leading a healthy lifestyle. 

The health center will also offer behavioral health services including counseling for families, couples, individuals, and children over the age of five. Services will be provided by a bilingual staff of board-certified doctors, nurses, and highly qualified support personnel. Additional services will be added in the near future.

All patients are welcome regardless of income or insurance status. Zufall accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and New Jersey Family Care as well as most private health insurance plans. Patients without insurance will be charged a sliding scale fee based on their income.  It is recommended that patients check with Zufall regarding their eligibility for all services.

NJ Governor Signs Executive Order to Fly Flags at Half-Staff to Recognize Parkland Florida Victims

New Jersey Governor Phillip D. Murphy signed Executive Order No.1 on Monday ordering the flag of the United States of America and the Flag of the State of New Jersey to be flown at half-staff to recognize and mourn the passing of the victims in Parkland, FL.

The order is for all state offices, agencies and municipalities, including schools for Tuesday, Feb. 20.
