WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange High School (WOHS) varsity cheerleaders continued their winning ways on Sunday, with a first-place win at the UCA Empire Regional Championship, held at Nassau Community College in Garden City, NY.

"This event is a qualifier for the National High School Cheerleading Championship hosted by UCA in Orlando Florida in February," said head cheer coach Olivia Del Spina. "The WOHS varsity competition team placed first in Small Varsity Non-Tumbling and second in Game Day Non-Tumbling.”

Both placements earned the team invitations to the National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC), to be held on Feb. 8-10, 2019, in Orlando.
