County to Offer Free Workshop on Social Media to Non-Profits at West Orange Public Library

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. invites non-profit organizations to attend a free workshop titled “How Non-Profits can Use Social Media to Grow Their Business.” It will be held Saturday, September 14 at 10:00 am at the West Orange Public Library, 46 Mount Pleasant Avenue.                  

“Essex County is home to a vibrant and diverse non-profit community that contributes greatly to our quality of life and local economy. Our free workshop can help your organization enhance strategic initiatives and improve your outreach to the community. I encourage all Essex County organizations to attend this valuable workshop,” DiVincenzo said.

This two-hour, workshop will be hosted by LisaMarie Dias of LisaMarie Dias Designs and will focus on the multitude of social media platforms, tools and communities that non-profits can use to build awareness of their mission and facilities, increase audiences at their events/lectures, and convert visitors/audiences into donors.  Non-profit groups of all types will benefit from the information shared.

Millburn's Peter Serruto Drafted by Cincinnati Reds

MILLBURN, NJ - Peter Serruto, who just completed his senior season at Millburn High School, was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 22d round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft on Wednesday.

Serruto was the 649th pick overall.

The 6-foot, 190-pound right-handed batter has been a defensive standout since he first suited up in a Millburn uniform as a freshman.
