West Orange to be Honored at Taste of NJ’s Best

WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange resident Bernice Manshel will be honored for Lifetime Achievement by FAMILYConnections on Wednesday, May 2, during A Taste of NJ’s Best at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange. The popular Essex County event raises funds to benefit more than 4000 area children, adults and families.

“FAMILYConnections’ Lifetime Achievement Award is given to people who have a special commitment to helping youth and families.” said Jacques Hryshko, executive director of FAMILYConnections. “Bernice has been a leader in the development of polices and reforms to improve child welfare and juvenile justice services in New Jersey and we are so pleased to recognize her passion, commitment and accomplishments.”FAMILYConnections is a non-profit community agency serving Essex County and surrounding communities with 35 specialized programs for all ages, including counseling, skills-building, training and prevention. Funds raised from A Taste of NJ’s Best will support these programs.
