WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange Community Band will hold its premier concert on Aug. 21 at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The newly formed band, led by Steve Kimmons and made possible through the West Orange Recreation Department, features several West Orange residents, including parents, West Orange High School alumni and music teacher Andrea Rommel.
The free event will also feature "The Jazzy Ladies," Fran Testa and Lynette Sheard, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. with the community band set to perform the following at 8:15 p.m.:

Washington Post, Sousa
Chicago Tribune, Chambers
William Tell Overture, Rossini/Leidzen
Hungarian Dance No. 5, Brahms/Laurendeau
Mock Morris, Grainger
National Emblem, Bagley

In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the auditorium at Liberty Middle School, 1 Kelly Drive, on the same date and time.
