WEST ORANGE, NJ — Pleasant Valley Productions (PVP), which recently took over leadership of the Oscar Shindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC), and the West Orange Human Relations Commission (HRC) recently presented their annual reports to the mayor and township council.

PVP board member Camille Vecchio-DiLorenzo recapped the programs that have been presented at OSPAC over the last year, including events such as “Broadway Under the Stars,” “West Orange Idol” and “Latin Night.”

“None of what we have so far accomplished would have been possible without the support of our community partners and West Orange volunteers,” she said, adding that OSPAC is a wonderful place for the community to gather and to enjoy great shows and events.

Vecchio-DiLorenzo encouraged the public to visit pleasantvalleyproductions.org or ospacnj.org for more information about upcoming productions and expressed gratitude toward the volunteers, community partners and sponsors whose combined efforts helped make 2019 a success.

HRC chair Tammy Williams also reflected on the activities the organization helped to fund in 2019, including the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, the Haitian Flag Raising and the annual line-dancing holiday party.

Williams praised all those who “encourage a positive and constructive dialogue within the township about diversity related issues” to foster goodwill and cooperation.

Following the annual reports, council president Michelle Casalino expressed the council's appreciation for "all those who take their time to serve West Orange."
