WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) recently welcomed Dr. Christina Hector and Onyx Direct Care to West Orange with a celebratory ribbon cutting at the new officer, located at 470 Prospect Avenue, Suite 302.
The husband-and-wife team of Hector and Dr. Lamont Mitchell began accepting patients on Nov. 1.
"We are pleased to welcome Onyx Direct Care to West Orange and to the West Orange Chamber of Commerce," said Bianca Prieto, WOCC executive director. "Drs. Hector and Mitchell are committed to providing a unique doctor-patient experience which will prove beneficial to our township."
According to the website, direct primary care allows patients to have a direct relationship with their doctor. For the equivalent of a monthly cell-phone bill, Hector said patients can receive direct primary health care services—from an annual check-up to urgent care needs to general questions about staying healthy—that are tailored to their individual needs and convenience.
“Onyx Direct Care is a medical practice providing patients with a direct relationship with their doctor,” said Hector. “I specialize in family medicine and sports medicine. I believe in the importance of educating patients on wellness, healthy eating, and physical activities. At Onyx Direct Care, patients will have extended visits of 30 minutes to 60 minutes, same-day or next-day urgent appointments and easy access via phone, email and text. I strive to provide a true all-around health care to patients."
Hector, who is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine and received her medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, is described on the Onyx Direct Care website as being “friendly and engaging.” Visit the website to learn more.
