WEST ORANGE, NJ — There were two additional cases of COVID-19 reported in West Orange on Monday, according to Mayor Robert Parisi.
The total intake of cases in West Orange was 1,528, but there were only 39 current active cases in West Orange as of Monday.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in West Orange was 187. There has been one coronavirus-related death reported in West Orange so far in the month of September.
A total of 9,788 residents have tested negative for the virus, and there have been 1,409 recovered and closed COVID-19 cases. Since the beginning of the month, there have been no coronavirus-related hospitalizations of any West Orange residents.
Essex County reported a total of 20,315 cases of COVID-19 Monday. There have been 149,136 negative test results in Essex County. There have been 1,870 deaths in Essex County attributed to the coronavirus.
