WEST ORANGE, NJ — As summer comes to a close, West Orange Public Schools administrators have been busily preparing for the first day of school on Sept. 4.

In the days leading up to the opening day, Maschio's Food Services, the school district's new food service provider, invited Central Office staff and faculty to a barbecue.

In an email to staff, newly instated Superintendent of Schools Dr. Scott Cascone invited administrators to join Maschio’s for “some great food and fellowship as [they] gear up for an amazing school year.”

Staff members enjoyed each other’s company over brisket, chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs and salads.
