NUTLEY, NJ - A Nutley Fire Department truck overturned on the Chestnut Street bridge over the Third River at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Saturday. The truck came to rest on its left side.

Officials on the scene were not able to comment on the situation or confirm what witnesses stated. When asked about injuries, firefighters on the scene stated they were not able to comment at this time.

Two citizens on scene said they did not believe there were any injuries to firefighters. However, this information has not been confirmed.

Commissioner Alphonse Petracco said the investigation into the accident is being turned over to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
