FLORHAM PARK, NJ — Proving that the holiday season can be both about giving and giving back, the global #GivingTuesday initiative provides a day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. In recognition of #GivingTuesday, the Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey chapter is encouraging the community to support the organization’s mission of raising funds and awareness about the disease by making a donation or considering a gift from the Alzheimer’s Association’s online store, Shop for the Cause.

The Alzheimer’s Association is able to offer all of its services free of charge thanks to volunteers who help fundraise for the cause. To become further involved this holiday season, the Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey is also encouraging community members to help with its upcoming gift-wrapping fundraiser, where volunteers will wrap gifts for shoppers at various locations in exchange for a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Volunteer opportunities will be held throughout the holiday season at the Livingston Barnes and Noble and the Willowbrook Mall. Those available to participate in the gift-wrapping fundraisers should contact AAGNJ at (973) 437-3931 ext. 8864 or mecounts@alz.org.
