WEST ORANGE, NJ — After a positive case of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 was confirmed within the Township of West Orange on Sunday Night, according to local and state health departments, Mayor Robert Parisi and the West Orange Emergency Management Team announced a special live press conference that will be streamed live on the township Facebook page on Monday night at 8 p.m. to address the steps being taken to help slow the spread of the virus.  

According to the township, members of the taskforce are “working with state and hospital partners to get more information and begin the process of contact tracing.”

In the meantime, the township urged residents to “stay home as much as they can, avoid large groups, continue the practice of good hand-washing and personal hygiene and practice social distancing.”
