WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Police Department handled two cases of motor vehicle theft late last week and another this week.

On Friday, a blue 2017 Range Rover was reported missing from a driveway on Ashley Road, according to West Orange police. The SUV's owner reported to Officer Giovanni Rodriguez that the vehicle was missing after being left unlocked with the key in the area of the center console.

According to West Orange police, an accident was reported at the front gate of Llewelyn Park on that same Friday afternoon involving a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle reported missing.  A surveillance camera was located at the residence which faces the driveway, however, the car’s owner told police that the system was offline and could not retrieve any footage.
