WEST ORANGE, NJ - The severe thunderstorms that buffeted the area late Tuesday afternoon by and large spared the township.
One exception was a power wire that came down in the area of of Fitzrandolph Road and Conforti Avenue, according to West Orange police.
PSE&G is still conducting cleanup in the area and power remains shut down as of noon Wednesday in that immediate neighborhood because the wire is live. Cable companies and tree services are also tending to the area.
Other that brief outages late Tuesday afternoon, most of West Orange kept its power for the duration of the storm.
