WEST ORANGE, NJ -- The West Orange boys basketball team opened a 10-points lead in the first quarter and went on to a 50-43 victory over Barringer Thursday night.

Gustav Hall scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds for the Mountaineers (4-5), who continued their recent habit of getting out to fast starts by taking a 16-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Chris Latimer scored nine points and Amyin Hanks collected seven rebounds to go with six points and two steals for West Orange, which extended a four-point halftime lead by outscoring Barringer, 12-6, in the third quarter.
