WEST ORANGE, NJ -- The West Orange boys soccer team evened its record and overwhelmed Perth Amboy, 6-0, on Thursday.

Aleks Cardoza scored two goals for the Mountaineers (8-8-1), who led, 3-0, at halftime. Kalleo Mendes finished with a goal and two assists, while Yasin Aly added a goal and an assist.

Keyben Palaguachi and Rashawn Archer each scored one goal for West Orange, which used three goalies. Nikolai Matthews made three saves, and Royson Folas and Chris Ochoa each stopped two shots.
