BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- The West Orange girls basketball team recovered quickly from a Friday loss to University by going on the road to defeat Bloomfield, 51-24, on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore guard Kiley Capstraw collected 27 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for the Mountaineers (2-5). Capstraw, who also came up with three steals, sank five 3-point baskets. In West Orange's 52-38 loss to University on Friday, Capstraw finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

West Orange outscored the Bengals, 18-3, in the second quarter to take a 28-6 halftime lead. Davionna Phillips chipped in with five rebounds and three assists, and Natalie Nevins handed out five assists and made a team-high four steals for the Mountaineers.
