RANDOLPH, NJ -- The West Orange girls soccer team continued on its recent tear with a 2-0 victory over Randolph in the semifinal round of the Section 1, Group 4 tournament on Monday.

The Mountaineers (16-3), who won their fifth consecutive game, will play at Montclair in defense of the sectional crown they won in 2018. That game will be Thursday afternoon.

Coming into the season with high expectations following a sectional crown last season, West Orange began this season 1-2. Since then, the Mountaineers are 15-1, losing only to Livingston in the Essex County Tournament semifinals. Montclair won the ECT in a penalty kick shootout over Livingston.
