WEST ORANGE, NJ -- The West Orange girls soccer team opened play in the Section 1, Group 4 tournament with a 5-0 victory over Passaic Tech on Monday.

Kiara Michuca deposited two goals for West Orange (14-3), which won for the sixth time in its last seven games. Natalie Nevins had one goal and one assist for the Mountaineers, who led, 2-0, at halftime.

Kaya Schultz and Emily Baker also scored goals, and Kiley Capstraw, Emma Mitchell and Giovanna Winning all contributed assists. West Orange outshot Tech, 14-2, with Cassidy Joyce making two saves in the shutout.
