WEST ORANGE, NJ -- Kiley Capstraw, a sophomore swing guard from West Orange, has been selected to the 2020 Super Essex Conference All-American Division First Team.
Capstraw averaged 21.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.6 steals for West Orange in the 2019-2020 season.
"Kiley was able to realize how much of a natural scorer she was and she really showed her dominance at times, scoring over 30 in more than one game this season," said West Orange head coach Caniece Williams. "She also showed how versatile she is with being able to drive and shoot. She also shoots over 90 percent from the free throw line."
Mackenzie Dover of West Orange was named to the American Division's Second Team, and Mountaineer players Shyleea Ryan and Davionna Phillips each received honorable mention.
"Dover has always been our main girl defensively, but this year with Kiley she showed her ability to dominate and take over a game with her ability to drive," Williams said.
"Ryan was our best rebounder on the team, and she really provided us with a boost this season and helped with her ability to finish close to the basket," Williams said. "Davionna was great defensively as well, and provided us great spark with her amazing help side defense and her willingness to take a offense charge and sacrifice her body for the team."
