UNION, NJ – On June 29 a theft of $26,000 in cash stolen from Union High School was reported to police.

Union Police Director Daniel Zieser said two arrests have been made so far. 

“The investigation is ongoing,” he said.  Zieser added that additional arrests are pending the Union County Prosecutor’s approval.

There is no information available on where the cash was kept or why so much cash was inside the school. 

“The police are currently investigating this matter so I will not comment until their investigation is complete,” Board of Education President Ronald McDowell told TAPinto Union.

An email requesting additional information from Superintendent Gregory Tatum was not returned.
