A total of 28 Westfield High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.
According to the National Merit Scholarship Program, these students place in the top five percent of the students in the country who took the Preliminary SAT/Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test: Alisha B. Asija, Owen S. Bartok, Evan Binder, Eli A. Burk, Loukas L. Carayannopoulos, Soo M. Chung, Stefan T. Crigler, Melissa C. Endy, Spencer R. Fishman, Katherine G. Foley, Olivia C. Hamilton, Michael J. Hauge, Emily Holtzman, Sophie M. Hurwitz, Alistair M. Kapadia, Max Kleiman-Lynch, Rafaela E. Laitamaki, Catherine Li, Julia Li, Amy S. Liang, Ryan N. Murphy, Charlotte B. Perez, Cindy Qiang, Noah K. Reich, Danielle E. Rinaldi, Henry J. Sacco, Nicholas A. Youssef, and Natalia A. Zeller MacLean.
