WESTFIELD, NJ — Five Westfield High School students achieved the highest score possible on parts of the April 2018 ACT standardized tests, the school district announced Friday.

The students receiving a top score of 36 are: Sophomore Ian Gurland – Math; junior Julianne Aronson – English and Reading; junior Brianna Hatch, 11th grade – Science, STEM, English and ELA; junior Jennifer O’Connell – Reading; and junior Brooke Sullivan – Reading.

In a congratulatory letter to each student, Westfield High School principal Derrick Nelson commended them for “outstanding achievement,” saying “it speaks volumes about your abilities and commitment to your education.”
