WESTFIELD, NJ — Six members of the Westfield High School football team and member of the WHS girls soccer team signed to play for colleges and universities Wednesday.

Katie Butler will play soccer for Lafayette College.

Football players who committed were: Drew Ortiz, Bowdoin College; Shea Elliott, University of Chicago; Jake Vall-Llobera, John’s Hopkins University; Juandre House, Fitchburg State University; Jack McCauley, College of the Holy Cross; and Adam McDaniel, University of New Haven.  

“These student-athletes demonstrate a strong work ethic in the classroom and on the athletic surfaces,” Westfield Athletic Directory Sandra Mamary said. “Their dedication and passion is evident and the Westfield School District is very proud of them. Our coaches work tirelessly within each program and the Tradition of Athletic Excellence continues.”
